Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our surgical guide design service

Workflow & Process

You need two files: (1) a CBCT scan in DICOM format — we recommend a voxel size of 0.2mm or smaller for optimal guide accuracy, and (2) an intraoral scan in STL, PLY, or OBJ format. If available, also include a wax-up or prosthetic design so we can plan implant positions relative to the final restoration.

Standard delivery is 3 business days with our Triple QA quality process. Express 24-hour delivery is available for urgent surgical cases. Every guide is reviewed by Dr. Alex Pakhomov before delivery to ensure clinical feasibility.

Through our built-in secure chat directly inside your dashboard. All case discussions and file exchanges happen within the platform — no need for external messengers or email threads.

We offer unlimited revisions until the design meets your clinical approval. Simply leave a comment in the dashboard, and we will adjust it for free.

Technical & Compatibility

Yes. We support all major implant systems including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Zimvie (Zimmer Biomet), Osstem, Megagen, Neodent, BioHorizons, and Dentium. Sleeve parameters are customized for your specific guided surgery kit. You receive open-format STL files ready to print on any SLA/DLP 3D printer using biocompatible Class IIa resin.

Yes, complex full-arch rehabilitation is our core specialty. Dr. Alex Pakhomov personally oversees All-on-4, All-on-6, zygomatic, and pterygoid implant cases. We design stackable multi-layer guides (extraction + osteotomy + implant placement) with bone reduction protocols and tight sleeve tolerances (±0.05mm).

Yes. Every case is clinically reviewed by Dr. Alex Pakhomov, a practicing dentist with over 10 years of clinical experience and 5,000+ surgical guides designed. We verify nerve proximity, bone density (Hounsfield units), implant angulation, and prosthetic alignment before delivery — ensuring not just CAD accuracy, but real clinical feasibility.

Our guides achieve sub-millimeter accuracy in implant placement. Accuracy depends on CBCT voxel size (we recommend ≤0.2mm), scan quality, and 3D printer calibration. Based on our experience designing 5,000+ guides, we design with tight sleeve tolerances (±0.05mm) and verify guide seating on the digital model before delivery.

Services & Pricing

Yes. We deliver open-format STL files compatible with any SLA/DLP 3D printer. Print using biocompatible Class IIa resin (e.g., Formlabs Surgical Guide Resin or NextDent SG) and insert the metal sleeves corresponding to your implant system. We provide drill depth markings and a full drilling protocol in PDF format.

Single-implant guide design starts from €80. All-on-X and zygomatic cases are priced based on complexity. We operate on a "Design First, Pay Later" model — you review the full plan before any payment. For partner clinics, we offer consolidated bi-weekly invoicing. Full pricing is available at surgicalguide.pro/pricing.

Security & Privacy

Yes. We prioritize data protection with a private client dashboard, encrypted file uploads and HIPAA/GDPR compliant storage. Your patient data remains strictly confidential.
